PrideStaff is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to work with a busy and fast-paced client in the local Fort Myers area.

 

Shift: Monday through Friday; Business Hours
Salary: $60,000 to $80,000+ (Depending on Experience)

Location: Fort Myers, FL

 

Controller Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Prepare monthly financial statements with detailed analysis and projections
• Manage cash flow, investments, and lines of credit to optimize financial performance
• Monitor and reconcile all bank account transactions, including trust and escrow accounts
• Supervise payroll processing and tax reporting in coordination with Human Resources
• Partner with the Chief Operating Officer on financial management and strategic planning
• Implement and maintain accounting software systems and processes
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and development
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Prepare and present financial reports to executive management and stakeholders
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory examinations

 

Controller Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in professional services.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ethical decision-making skills and high level of integrity.
