Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on Program Manager joining our team to manage a large Special Security support contract based at Los Angeles AFB. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, staffing, and budgets to ensure the timely delivery of contractual commitments to the government.

PERFORMANCE SHALL INCLUDE:

  • Responsibility for management of all aspects of a major Space Force Special Security Support contract to include leadership, technical performance, personnel and financial performance
  • Direct and supervise all personnel issues to include interviewing, hiring, evaluating performance and determining proper compensation
  • Organize and oversee technical performance on the contract and ensure delivery of all required deliverables
  • Communicate daily with peers within the business unit as well as customers, Site Leads and Senior Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to identify and resolve problems and challenges to ensure sound execution of contracted effort to include successfully resolving issues requiring senior level (government and corporate) attention
  • Travel (sometimes frequent) to various program sites as necessary to ensure sound program execution
  • Identify, develop, and implement efficiencies that enhance productivity and/or reduce overall contract costs to the government

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience (4 years)
  • 5+ years of program/project experience including specific experience with the Air Force and/or Space Force SAP community with contracts of similar scope/magnitude/complexity
  • 10+ years of experience in the Special Access and/or SCI communities in positions of increasing responsibility
  • Certifications: PMP highly preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Security Clearance:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Other Requirements:

  • Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals and other guiding policy documents.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop/lead a high performing team focused on the customer’s mission
  • Outstanding analytic and problem solving skills
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation)
  • Skill in professional planning, organizing, training and evaluation of training efficacy
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; write comprehensive studies; and maintain good working relationships
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; message distribution/retrieval programs; and Analyst Notebook

The likely salary range for this position is $210,569 - $284,887. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
