Job Description
Bailey-Harris Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a full-time IT Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily Responsibilities
- Availability & Support
- Manage open tickets and review with MSP if any need immediate attention
- Administrative support for SharePoint Intranet site
- Provide support beyond office hours for critical issues (servers & complete network outages).
- Monitor and address 24/7 alerts related to power outages, switch/AP failures, and VM issues.
- Common IT & Network Issues
- Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 OS issues, OneDrive sync errors, VPN connectivity issues, and email/spam filtering.
- Resolve printer, software (ComputerEase, Procore, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff), and hardware issues
- Provide network infrastructure support & Coordinate with MSP as necessary (Access Points, Switches, Phone Systems).
- Assist with Business Verizon accounts and coordinate with MSP and third-party vendors.
- Assist with VoIP, video conferencing, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
Multi-Day Processes
- Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Order and set up laptops, monitors, iPads, iPhones.
- Create accounts in LocalAD, sync with AzureAD, and configure mobile devices via Microsoft Intune.
- Install essential software: Bluebeam, Outlook, VPN, FieldEase, Network Drives, SharePoint.
- Set up workstations and conduct IT orientation for new employees.
- Coordinate with cell phone providers for mobile device setup and refresh.
- Jobsite & Office Network Setup
- Coordinate with project managers to determine network needs.
- Install and configure wired and wireless networks for job sites and corporate offices.
- Deploy temporary and permanent networking solutions for construction sites.
- Configure mobile networks and satellite connections in remote locations.
- Ensure VPN connectivity, firewall setup, and ISP coordination for stable internet.
- Assist field personnel with network equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with Copier company and ensure connection with network equipment
Network Security & Compliance
- Cybersecurity Measures
- Implement firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security protocols.
- Monitor network activity for potential threats and manage access controls.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and conduct risk assessments.
- Perform network audits and maintain security documentation.
Network Performance & Disaster Recovery
- Network Optimization
- Monitor network performance and optimize bandwidth usage for high-demand applications like BIM & CAD.
- Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies for essential data traffic prioritization.
- Upgrade network hardware and software to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Disaster Recovery & Redundancy
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical IT infrastructure.
- Implement redundancy solutions to minimize service disruptions.
- Document network configurations and emergency response procedures.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Third-Party Collaboration
- Work with MSPs, ISPs, and external vendors for network installations and upgrades.
- Coordinate printer setup and maintenance with designated service providers.
- Assist in the procurement of networking equipment ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- IT Asset Management
- Maintain records of IT equipment, mobile devices, software licenses, and networking infrastructure.
- Participate in BH IT Department asset management and periodic reviews.
- Travel periodically to jobsites and corporate offices for IT assessments.
