Required qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in an office administration role. Can include internship experience.
• Some knowledge of the legal industry, preferably as a paralegal or legal assistant.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• A passion for being or becoming a paralegal.
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of family law or elder law is a plus.

Description:

Insight Global is assisting a client identify an empathetic and hard-working Legal Assistant to join a growing family law firm. This role is essential for supporting their attorneys and ensuring smooth operations within our office, treating their clients with care through life’s challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support 2-3 attorneys, rotating through their offices as needed.
• Serve as the first staff member for this office, greeting clients, triaging them accordingly, and advising on necessary paperwork.
• Handle light mailing tasks, including post office and bank runs for deposits, and possibly courthouse visits.
• Traveling locally to post office, bank, or court houses, which will include mileage reimbursements.
• Assist with light drafting of documents.
• Ensure all documents are mailed to the opposing side and clients.
• Manage client files, organizing and maintaining them accurately.
• Utilize Rocket Matter for case management and Box software for file storage.
• Use MS Teams for communication and collaboration.
• Take calls for attorneys, ensuring messages are relayed promptly.
• Review drafts prepared by paralegals, ensuring they are ready for the chief attorney's review.

Pay Rate: $18 - $21/hr
